Presence of adequate drawers in the kitchen are always an added advantage. Fact is that they might cost a bit extra, the capacity of a cabinet with drawers far exceeds the capacity of a cabinet of the same size with doors.
You can load a drawer to the top, and still be able to see all the contents without having to move contents to get at what you need. The function of a drawer cabinet is greater as well. In one motion you pull your drawer open to access contents without much difficulty. A cabinet with doors limits access; therefore you may often have to bend down onto your knees to access your stored items, especially in the back of the bottom shelf. Although drawers provide better functionality in your kitchen, you may still want to use base cabinets with doors for aesthetic appeal or budget. I would recommend however that you include at least one or two full banks of drawers.
